New video shows off Sequence, the RPG-rhythm game mash-up

If Rock Band 3 didn’t have enough experience points for your tastes, then Iridium Studios may have the game for you. They’ve just released a new video detailing how to play their upcoming rhythm-RPG hybrid, Sequence, which has players juggling between three different note charts in lieu of the standard turn-based combat. The bizarre mash-up features a 28-song soundtrack, a robust inventory system and full support for guitars and dance pads. It’s a DDRPG! Can RPG elements provide the rhythm genre a comeback tour? Hey, it worked for Puzzle Quest! We won’t have to wait too long to find out though; Sequence arrive on Xbox Live Indie Games in April for 240 MS points ($3).

About Mike Wall

Mike grew up and lives near Philadelphia and has been intrigued with games ever since his parents preached that they rotted his brain. He studied journalism at Penn State and got his master's degree in secondary education before realizing that not even summers off would make that job palatable. He now works in marketing and is trying to find time to continue writing a book about zombies, aliens, vampires, the end of the world, and a talking cat.

Solid trailer…saw this on Game Trailers and had a good laugh, which can be hard to pull off. Good form, Iridium.
