Tom Cruise Failed to Save Us – War of the Worlds Hits XBLA October 26

Haven’t we been through this already? Didn’t the affable Tom Cruise save us six years ago? I guess not, because War of the Worlds is still happening, and soon at that. The war begins on Tuesday, October 26 to be exact, when it hits XBLA. It will arrive on PSN an PC at a date to be announced later on.

Despite looking suspiciously like Tom Cruise’s character in the 2005 film, this one is actually set in London, not New Jersey, and introduces a novel story arc and characters. You can pick it up on XBLA for 800 MS points ($10). You might as well spend the money, because we all know it will be useless once the army of alien tripods arrive. Until then, perhaps this trailer can hold you over.
