Independence Day: a day where we celebrate how awesome America is by drinking cheap beer, eating an abundance of meat and igniting more gunpowder than was used in the Revolutionary War. In a rather meager week for XBLIG releases, it looks like we’ll all have a little more time to blow stuff up, but don’t forget to check out the handful of standout indies first! Game of the Week – Rainbow Runner – Erron Rainbow Runner takes the ‘endless runner’ …

Well, Ian Stocker, developer behind Soulcaster I & II and the upcoming Escape Goat, may have something that will be pretty handy for you. Platformance: Temple Death review: Jumping through the jungle

Indiana Jones made it look so easy! Jump over the pit, swing from the vine, avoid the spikes and swipe the treasure (or the girl). Sure he had his occasional snake pit or two, but the guy always got the deed done and hardly ever suffered a scratch. The Platformance explorer, on the other hand, probably twisted his ankle stepping off the plane. This poor, bloody, spear sponge was impaled, beheaded, drowned and burnt alive countless times en route to …

Oozi: Earth Adventure Episode 2 arriving in July with new gameplay features

Posted on by Taylor Bliss in News, xblig, XBLIG News | Leave a comment

Our reception of Oozi: Earth Adventure Episode 1 was a bit lukewarm. More than anything, it was a game that showed it had room for improvement, and by the looks of it, a developer that could deliver. With the upcoming release of the second part of Oozi’s Earth adventure, Awesome Games Studios will get the chance to show everyone what they’re really made of. Oozi: Earth Adventure Episode 2 has also been submitted to Dream. Build. Play., so there’s clearly some …

Feel that crisp, burny-hot summer sun on your face? Yeah, me too; it’s pretty horrible, right? Damaging our precious epidermi and increasing our chances of skin cancer. Luckily for us, it’s been a banner week for indies, with all kinds of awesome games to occupy our time while we enjoy the luxuries of shade and air conditioning. Game of the Week – Fluffy: Operation Overkill – Dylan Wow. This is a top-notch 2D shooter based in a cartoon world where …
