Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion Now Flying into the Depths of Space

Man has entered the endless depths of space again, courtesy of Stardock, who is most commonly known for their excellent DR- free PC titles, notably the RTS Sins of a Solar Empire. Let’s not forget that they also make a useful desktop management tool for Windows, titled Fences. Moreover, one of their producers, Scott Tykoski, released his holiday title Elf Squad7 on XBLIG last winter, which was also published by Stardock.

Yesterday the latest standalone expansion to the Sins universe was released, Rebellion, which doesn’t require gamers to own any previous editions of the game. You’ll have the opportunity to play as a loyalist or rebel side of three factions, in addition to a breadthe of new ships not previously seen in other Sins titles.

If you’re unsure of how you feel about space-raiding, pirate-crunching adventures, then you can always download a demo of the original Sins of a Solar Empire to dip your toes before diving head first into the depths of space. You can grab the full expansion for $39.99 at a number of outlets, and owners of the original get ten bones off!
