EvilQuest 2 in development, set to conquer Dream.Build.Play

Chaosoft Games made a name for themselves with EvilQuest, an XBLIG action-RPG in the vein of the NES classic Crystalis or the SNES epic Secret of Mana. They’re back at it again with EvilQuest 2, and they’ve submitted it to Microsoft’s Dream.Build.Play competition.

This sequel features all-new weapons and a crafting system to make your own. Also featured are new items, like a grappling hook that will help you vault over bottomless pits. Moreover, there are also more special attacks and dozens of unique spells.

The developer said they’re taking fan feedback into account while developing the sequel, and are “making large strides in the areas of music, art, dialogue and gameplay.” Check out our review of the original EvilQuest to get a better idea of what you’re in for.
