Spooky Squid’s They Bleed Pixels headed to Steam

Spooky Squid has been working on They Bleed Pixels for quite a long time. In fact, development has taken more than two years so far. The team’s hard work has paid off, however, as the game will be coming to Steam in the near future.

“We’re extremely happy to be bringing They Bleed Pixels to Steam,” said Miguel Sternberg, Creative Director at Spooky Squid Games. “Throughout development other game developers and players have told us that the game really deserves to reach a larger audience and the move to PC and Steam will do just that.”

The game was originally slated to be an XBLIG title, though there’s no word yet on whether or not that version will still see the light of day. A release date for the PC version will be announced soon, after Spooky Squid finishes polishing the final product.

It sucks that Microsoft seems to be losing most of their good faith they built up over the years with the indie community of developers. I was looking forward to this game as an XBLIG.

It breaks my heart as well, M. Huff. It’s to the point where I am definitely going to have to build a new PC before the end of the year if I want to keep playing the games that interest me, as they’re all moving away from platforms I already own that can run them.
